Findochty Caravan Park Footbridge

Contract Findochty Caravan Park Footbridge
Client Moray Council
Value £ 37k
Description

The contract involved removal of the steel beams and timber deck forming the existing pedestrian bridge. New bridge abutments had to be cast and a new galvanised steel bridge and timber deck had to be supplied. However, very restricted access meant that the new beams required a helicopter to lift them into position. Once in place, the rest of the bridge installation was completed including concrete paving, parapets and mesh infill panels. Despite the relatively low value nature of the project, the access issues meant it needed a significant amount of advanced planning. As a result, the works were completed without any incidents or delays.
