Ayamar Náutico was established in 2007 to serve the boating community across southwestern Spain and the Algarve. From our shop near the marina in Ayamonte, we quickly became a trusted destination for nautical professionals, sailing enthusiasts, and water sports lovers seeking reliable marine supplies and expert advice.
In 2009, we launched our first online store, expanding our reach to customers throughout Spain and the Balearic Islands. This year, we’re proud to have refreshed our website and extended our online range — making it easier than ever to find the right equipment for your vessel.
We stock everything for the active sailor and water-sports enthusiast, from leading brands to specialist parts. We also offer bespoke stainless-steel fabrication, including biminis and solar panel platforms, as well as a custom upholstery service through our in-house seamstress for bimini canvases and boat interiors.
Our success over the years has been built on experience, trust and a dedicated team who share the same passion for the sea and commitment to excellent service.

Lorie Lightfoot - Owner since 2021
In 2020, during the Coronavirus pandemic, Lorie began working part-time in the chandlery alongside the original owners, John and Diane Peer. A year later, she took the plunge and purchased the business. With many years’ experience running two successful sailing schools, Lorie brings a wealth of maritime knowledge and a friendly, hands-on approach to helping fellow sailors find exactly what they need.
George Elsom - Sales Assistant
George joined the Ayamar Nautico team in 2024. Although new to the world of boating, he quickly proved himself an invaluable member of the crew with his enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and genuine commitment to providing first-class customer service.
My journey into sailing began with a lifelong passion for boats. After nearly 25 years as co-owner of a respected sailing school, I now channel that same enthusiasm into running a chandlery. My goal remains unchanged - to offer exceptional service and great value to every customer!
Being part of the Ayamar team has been a fantastic experience. I´ve learned so much about boating and how to use that knowledge to help others. My goal is for every customer who walks through the door to feel welcome and to leave with exactly what they need!
